Team Building

Body language, situational awareness, risk vs. reward - these may be dull topics in a meeting but they're tons of fun to test out on the poker tables.

Lara Gertzen, CEO

Lara started the company 14 years ago as West LA Poker; a retail store and Dealer Academy. It soon morphed into one of the most requested poker providers in LA and the rest is history. Married for 24 years, Lara splits her time between travel, several spoiled pets and of course, playing a lot of poker.

Lara and Pamela
Pamela Laurie, COO

Hailing from North Dakota, Pamela brought her mid-western work ethic with her when she moved to LA. After a chance meeting with Lara in 2009 she began dealing poker and soon became a Tournament Director and eventually running much of the front office. The coup was complete in 2019 when she became a co-owner of The Poker People.
