Fundraising through poker is a great way to provide a night of entertainment while supporting a fantastic cause. Traditional fundraising events always end with the same small groups of people who already know each other clustered together talking. Because poker tournaments use random seating poker provides the social structure to meet new people, make new friends, and try to take their chips.
- You're never left alone. The Tournament Directors will handle everything poker related and our fun and friendly dealers are on every table to keep your guests entertained. Lessons and cheat sheets are included in every game.
- Poker is rookie friendly. Random seating creates new friendships and since everyone is there to support the cause, the event is more about community than competition.
- We help every step or the way. We've been doing this for 18 years. Our Event Managers can help with everything from your invitations to the Final Table photo.
If you've planned a dinner, a gala, or golf event, then you can plan a poker tournament. From the tables to the dealers, and every last chip in between, our team will handle every aspect of the poker tournament so that you can focus on your charity. You don't event need to know if a flush beats a straight. (But if someone asks, it does.)
How to Raise Money
Ticket Sales
Like any gala or fundraiser the ticket price is the first step in collection donations. We recommend that you charge for poker entry and general admission.
Rebuys and Add Ons
These are additional chips purchases during the game that can generate thousands of dollars towards the cause.
Sponsorships
Put your sponsor's logo on the seat cards, the dealer buttons, and even the poker felt itself. Ask for our catalogue of custom items.
Auctions and Raffles
The trick to raising money is to appeal to everyone. Some people love raffles, some people love auctions, the good news is that The Poker People love both!
